Premierline tackles charity challenge for St. John’s Hospice

Premierline takes part in charity challenge for local hospice

Premierline along with several other businesses in the Lancaster and South Lakes areas are taking part in the St. John’s Hospice 50-50-500 challenge in order to raise crucial funds to help support the local hospice.

The aim of the challenge is to see up to 50 local businesses raise £500.00 each over 50 days, raising a total of £25,000.00 to go towards the running costs of the hospice. Not to shy away from a challenge, Premierline has committed to raising more than that, starting with a £2,000.00 target and committing to take part in a whole host of challenges and activities in order to achieve it.

About St. John’s Hospice

St. John’s Hospice is a local charity that provides palliative care to patients with life shortening conditions, free of charge. Their services cover an area of around 250,000 people living across North Lancashire, South Cumbria and North Yorkshire.

The Hospice has operated at the heart of the community for over 35 years and is able to provide a range of care options for patients and families. Their services focus on providing patients with relief from symptoms and end of life care. St. John’s Hospice has an inpatient ward on site and also provides outpatient services too, giving local people access to a network of care professionals who are truly devoted to providing the very best care they can, whether that be for days, weeks or longer.

St. John’s Hospice operates on core values of Care, Compassion, Collaboration, Charity and Celebration. The work of the team at St. John’s Hospice makes it a very worthy cause to fundraise for, which is why at Premierline we are encouraging our own teams to get involved in this years’ charity challenge to raise as much money as we possibly can!

Here’s a flavour of some of the activities we’ll be taking part in:

A quiz, a Eurovision sweepstake, a football card competition, bake sales, a pop up sandwich shop, a charity car wash, an office raffle, a charity leg wax, the Heaton Park Half Marathon, a 10k at the Great Manchester Run and a Wainwrights peaks challenge – all in the pursuit of raising at least £2,000.00 for St. John’s Hospice.
